About the SCSRT
What is the SCSRT?
The South Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists (SCSRT) is a state society that provides support for medical imaging professionals, as well as enhancement of the profession and reputation for all imaging technologists and students.Our mission
The SCSRT will promote education development by providing quality educational opportunities to its membership. The SCSRT will encourage upholding proper and professional codes of ethics ensuring excellent patient care and promoting professionalism within the membership to strengthen the profession.
Support
The SCSRT will support affiliate chapters within the state as well as the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
Organization Structure
The
SCSRT is governed by an elected Board of Directors. The voting Board
members consist of the Chairperson of the Board, President,
President-Elect, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and two
Members-at-Large. The non-voting Board member consists of the Executive
Secretary.
The
President-Elect position is a three-year commitment. Once elected to
President-Elect and serving in that role for one year, the following
year that person would move into the President's role and the year
following that they would serve as Chairperson of the Board of Directors
for one year.
The positions of Chairperson, President, and President Elect also serve as the Executive Committee for the Board.
